One of my favourite holidays was when Dad took us to U-tree Manor House in the New forest. It had a swimming pool in the grounds,a paddock with ponys and donkeys in, peacocks just running wild. It was truly an idiotic place . We loved it. One day my sister and I wanted to go horse riding. We persuaded Dad to take us. He relented and took us to a nearby riding school. When we got there we wanted Mam to ride with us but she was not keen. Eventually with much perseverance she got on. It was a great big grey horse and Mam was very frighten and wanted to get off but our instructor wouldn't allow it . There was alot of off huffing and tuffing coming from Mam . When we glance over at Dad he was doubled over laughing so much tears where rolling down his face . He laughed so hard he thought his sides would split. We talked about that holiday a lot .
